More Catching Up!

So much to talk about, so little time these days. Or when I do have time, I totally goof off. I have a good hour tonight to jot down some words! We've been busy with lots of family visiting over the past few months and this week I found my father almost unresponsive at his house, but he's alright. My last living grandparent died recently, my grandmother. So when I do sit down at the computer I just want to get lost in a game, lol. I have been trying to get some levels in WoW but that just hasn't been easy...

Good Bye, Wildstar :(

Goodbye, Wildstar. I'll sure miss the humor, the world, the people and the creativity.

Ramping Up

Fishing with my little buddy. (Petamorph wand)

This week the invasions ramp up in WoW, and there is a new part of the story to do (kind of). Add in some updates from EQ2 such as the new level 95 heroic characters (get one free) and there is just so much to do right now! Oh, they are having a sort of invasion event in EQ2 as well, public quests are back!

Something Old, Something New, Seven Years Later

I think one of my favorite things about this blog, why I still blog, is that I always have things to look back on. Rarely do I go back to read an old post but often I look back at the pictures. Google search for images of games often pops up a lot of my own and it is always nice to think back on those images and then I may go read the post to think back on. Seeing when Dire, my son, my brothers or old friends were in the shots. It never fails to make me smile, sometimes it is sad as well, not playing with them in these games we used to play together all the time. I started this blog back in 2009, around this time of the year. So this will mark seven years for me blogging here. I am not nearly as dedicated as I was in the early years, each year I seem to get worse and worse about a schedule. But it is something special to me, something I am proud to have stuck with. So, thank you for reading, I do it for me, but also to share the games I play, thoughts and pictures with readers. I'm still here, saving massive amounts of screenshots to post, heh. Sometimes I have so many words in my head it is exasperating to try to get them all out. These posts are often just easier and faster for me to make sure to get a post up with.

Eye Candy: Shameless Selfie Edition

Capturing shots as I travel across various worlds ;) Starting off with a shameless WoW selfie... I cannot wait for the Legion pre-patch to hit... Cosmetic rewards! That and I am down to like five bag slots on most of my characters. It cannot come soon enough. I am guessing around July 19th, from reading up. Let's hope it is that close.

Play-log: June

There is a really nice Humble Bundle out with lots of cool stuff, including some goodies for several MMO games. There is some stuff for Wildstar too, which caught my attention. If you haven't checked it out you can find it here. Good stuff all around. Anyhow, onto what I've been finding interesting as of late.

Wildstar At 50

Finally at 50 getting to see places I have been reading about or hearing about. It is nice to finally see all the zones and progress through them. Even going back for things is cool too. I'm still having a lot of fun at 50, more so than I thought I would. 50 has been quite enjoyable thus far.

Checking In

I wanted to write a post on some of the older games I have checked into recently, as well as some I haven't checked into for quite awhile. Some of them are pretty obscure and just things I downloaded on a whim. Going to try to keep the post from droning on but at the same time just making some notations on what I've peeked into. Shall we start?

Eye Candy!

Ding 20! Engineer seems to be the class for me. The game is a lot more fun when you really mesh well with a class.

Anyhow, some pretty pictures of my adventures the last couple of weeks! Always something interesting to do these days, can't wait for Halloween to hit WoW and WILDSTAR!! Soon...

Wildstar- Settling In

Wildstar's F2P transition has come and gone, now it's smooth sailing. No more queue times, server restarts and queues. It really wasn't all that bad for me. I had a few things bother me, but I figured it would all soon be just a memory, the aggravation. I didn't suffer from most of the queue times, I play later on so that might be why. The additional servers helped I am sure, which was great to see so many people wanting to play Wildstar!

Well Done, Cupcake! Err... Carbine! (Wildstar)

Late last night the countdown to Wildstar's  F2P release rolled around, there was already a queue lined up when I managed to log in a little bit ahead of time. Before actually logging in, I realized I had forgotten that I had a two step verification tied to my account still, which was on an older phone, which has then since been replaced. No way to remove it other than contacting support. So I decided to promptly put in a ticket and hope for the best, I really had hoped I would be able to play my account I picked up at release. Until then I logged in on another account. And I was surprised when the countdown rolled to all zeroes, on the homepage, the character creation screen smoothly came into view on my monitor.

Screenshots And Things

Are we having fun yet?! Dire hates selfies in game and out, lol.

In a few short hours Wildstar will launch it's new F2P model. I never did end up trying the beta, I just thought since there was not much time in between the launch and the date I received the code; I may as well just wait and not spoil things for myself. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game has changed. I'll be picking up my Aurin stalker which is around 30, going from there to see how I like the game now. It has been quite awhile since I last played. I do miss my housing, and I liked the world a lot, so this will be great to check the game out again!

The Sixth Year Issue!

Happy 6 year anniversary to Champions and.. The Blog! Oh... and to my character there pictured!

Fixing to format my machine, so I figured I better get a post out and save some screenshots on the blog here before doing so. Been sidetracked a bit lately, getting a replacement phone twice within the span of a month, always keeps me busy trying to get everything just so. It can take me days and days, lol. And my grandmother, who's 92, was briefly in ICU, but she's better now. Now I just need to get this machine wiped clean, I download so many games it just gets bogged down after awhile.

Five Years!

Somewhere this month this blog turns five! Yay blog, and stuff! This blog has become a space where I like to share my gaming thoughts, it is a constant, something I really love having in my life. I never thought I'd last this long, I say that each year! Not everyone likes to talk about games. Sure I tell anyone who asks, that is who I am, I don't care who cares. It is nice to be able to come here and just say anything about games, share thoughts, ideas and so on, to people who like games too ;) I've been honored to make some really cool friends in the process and have some interesting discussions, and I thank everyone who continues to read my dribble. Thank you! Although I am not as avid with posting as I once was, I still enjoy writing here and don't see myself backing off anytime soon. Anyhow, on with today's post! Not going to drag out a post about the last five years, it's all collected here in the posts.

Eye Candy

Love the ambiance in GW2.

Wildstar Thoughts

Wildstar continues to impress me with the speed that they are maintaining with content patches. Already we have the next drop available on the PTR! This drop includes a major amount of bug squashing. Lots of class changes, especially to the engineer. Also a great change for the warrior; attack ranges from 1.5m to 1m, which is not a nerf! It affects how close a mob is to you when you will actually hit it. Many times I'd pull one to me only to have it being too close and not getting any attacks to land, it was simply too close. Glad to hear this! Check out the full PRT notes here. Things look great as far as content and updates. So what is the problem with Wildstar? Why do the servers seem to be thinning out, many with low populations?

Play Log: Wildstar, WoW, GW2

I just love my house in Wildstar :)

So, I missed the last day for Vanguard. Real life interfered. I felt so bad! I am glad that I did log in and get a chance to take some last screens, my only regret is not getting to take pictures of all the players saying good bye. Nobody was anywhere to be seen days before. I will always have a lot of nice memories of the game. Many wishes of what could have been. It will surely be missed.

I have about a week of playtime left on Wildstar. So far I've played my stalker up to 22 and made a new warrior on the Dominion to 17. I wanted to check out the other faction's city, see how things were over there. Overall I think the questing is simply smoother and a far more enjoyable experience overall. Then again had I picked a different starting area for my Exile I might have enjoyed it more. I have to say I lean towards the Exile simply because that's where the population is.
