Countdown

The countdown to Legion is on, only a few hours left! I will be logging in, hopefully logged in so when it rolls over I will be ready to go. Being on a late schedule doesn't hurt, heh. I did not get everything done that I wanted to but I'm fine about that. I didn't want to burn myself out over the past week so I only logged in briefly a few times to do invasions. I have all the sets for mogging, several bat pets and I don't think there is anything else I need or want.

SWTOR/EA/BW: You lost me!

What do you do when you're just a customer, helpless to a ban, money charged, horrible support, left wondering what just happened? When your treated as if you are not valued by the company you support? I hear it all the time, how players expect too much, how they expect companies to care, and they need to get over themselves. Today all I have to say is that, companies NEED to start valuing customers and providing the best support they can. Because if you don't... There are swarms of other companies that I can, and will, support instead of yours-- if you can't stand up to the plate. It is NOT acceptable anymore, and I'm not supporting these companies that can't get it together.

Late last night the countdown to Wildstar's  F2P release rolled around, there was already a queue lined up when I managed to log in a little bit ahead of time. Before actually logging in, I realized I had forgotten that I had a two step verification tied to my account still, which was on an older phone, which has then since been replaced. No way to remove it other than contacting support. So I decided to promptly put in a ticket and hope for the best, I really had hoped I would be able to play my account I picked up at release. Until then I logged in on another account. And I was surprised when the countdown rolled to all zeroes, on the homepage, the character creation screen smoothly came into view on my monitor.

The Destruction of Lion's Arch and Poking Along In Middle Earth...

Things are going well in LoTRO, we're still playing. I was starting to burn out running two characters, both so close to the 30 mark. I decided to drop the minstrel and just stick with the lore master as I enjoy the class far more. Since then I have leveled him to 32 and have enjoyed the newer, fresh areas much more. Dire is really diggin' it, he has passed me up in levels sitting at 36. I'm trying to catch up.

I had a bad experience with the online support trying to get my 500 turbine points for subscribing. All I can say is don't even try that route. Calling was a much better option. The issue was resolved within a few minutes, no waiting on the line, it was perfect. Props to the call center, the online support can... suck it, or something. Horrible, horrible. Which had me annoyed for a few days. By the time I had a chance to get around to checking on the game it was after hours so no calling for a few days. Soooo.... I waited several (eight days? four or five petitions?) days, I ended up having to call while out doing errands.

But, all is well. A very relaxing game, that is why I enjoy it. Great questing, lovely zones, a nice relaxing pace overall to the game. Plenty of room to explore, tons of fun clothing options for those more inclined to looking snazzy (which causes me to be constantly broke). I like the housing too, though I rarely use mine currently. I am sure I will once I get some items to decorate with and start needing more storage room.

I've also been dabbling with GW2. I wanted to check out the latest event. Which I have been enjoying a lot. It is also fun being back on my necro, who just hit the first birthday mark, sitting at 73 or so. Getting closer, lol! 80 is the current cap, so not much longer to go.

The destruction of Lion's Arch felt a bit weird at first, but I like the event well enough. I like running around with the zerg. Working with people at my own pace. I even got to do the scarlet fight once, but it bugged. I wasn't overly angry though, I did have fun and it all felt pretty epic. It is a great game to pop back in and out of.

My brothers are playing FFXIV and I've been thinking of starting over on their server, still not sure. My brother's non-gaming girlfriend has taken a real shine to the game, which is really neat. I'm still thinking on it. I have been for a couple of weeks, I'd be pretty far behind, but maybe I could catch up quickly, still thinking!

That's about all I've been up to. Dabbling in EQ2 here and there and Onverse a little, I just run out of time at the end of the day. Some of my new tattoos are selling in Second Life, but I need to make more. Which is nice because it is paying for my land there!

Technical Difficulties

Pose fun. Making poses currently, One I've been working on for a prop.

So, I've finally gotten SL fixed. I've just been lazy with posting. I had a bout with customer service, basically telling me to pay for technical support (included in a sub, which I do not need). After a good bit of testing and reading, testing, crashing, crashing, testing, crashing... You get the picture? I managed to resolve the problem on my own. I just wasn't going to pay for support on a game I already spend too much on, I pay far more than a sub and I wasn't happy with that answer. I'll either do it myself or quit. I did get a survey after my call to Linden Labs and I mean to give them a good piece of my mind. I did have a long 'ranty' post on the topic but I just don't have the energy to work on it today.

What was the problem? Basically my inventory was randomly adding items, in massive quantities, to my character's appearance. I looked like a walking garage sale. It was highly frustrating as I have a huge inventory but all is well now. I guess it goes with the territory in a game like SL.

I've been working on a lot for my shop. I'm creating a lot of poses and props now. I really enjoy making poses, something different for a change. It might not seem like much but as a gamer it is very cool to make my own poses and animations. I'm still a long way off from selling animations, I'm a bit too lazy to work on anything very long, at the mo, but I'm loving the poses.

I've taken a bit of a break from building houses and shops, for the most part. They can be exhausting, sometimes and I just like to switch up what I create. Keeps things fun. That's mostly what I do in SL, it's just something none of my other game offers in such depth; creating to this extent. Anyhow I wanted to get a quick post in as I've been pretty quiet these last few days. I'll share some pics too ;) When don't I share picks? Heh.
