GW2: Path of Fire

On Friday I logged into GW2 to check my daily login rewards and then I saw... mounts. I hadn't picked up the expansion but right then and there I knew I had to have a mount or few too. So, I dabbled around over the weekend in the Crystal Desert. No real spoilers here on story, just some thoughts on what I've experienced so far.

Appreciation (Rift, EQ2)

Expansion time is in the air! In just a few days GW2 will release PoF, mounts and getting to go to Elona sounds really cool. I mean who would have thought GW2 would add mounts?! I guess someone was listening! EQ2 just released information on the upcoming expansion, which will takes us to PoP (Planes of Power). Very exciting, I wonder how this will compare to the original EQ's PoP? That is a tough one to stand up against, one of my all time favorite expansions, but I think it sounds really great.

Bopping Around The Universe

SWTOR recently released the Crisis on Umbara update. I noted it but it sort of  ended up slipping by me, I wasn't sure if it was just group content or more of the story. Finally logging in over this past weekend I got to check it out. Turns out it is continuation of the current story, it can be played solo which means you get Theron and Lana tagging along with you though this flashpoint. It can also be played as a group.

Changing Seasons

Maybe it is the changing of the seasons but I've been feeling like changing things up a bit lately in the play rotation, visiting some games I have been away from for a bit. Sometimes, for me at least, it is so much fun to go and play through those old starting zones and get a real feel for if I want to come back. Sometimes those are the most fun I have these days, leveling up through familiar haunts, it was great with GW2 last month.
