Planes of Prophesy, A Deeper Look

Tuesday I wrote my thoughts and impressions on first entering EverQuest 2's Planes of Prophesy expansion, today I want to share a more in-depth look. There are some spoilers with the lay of the land but not a huge spoiler on story.

Planes of Prophesy! EQ2

Today the latest EQ2 expansion released, Planes of Prophecy. It is tied to the first EQ game in lore and areas from the PoP, or rather Planes of Power, era and some from beyond. Heavy on nostalgia, we did not get to see a lot with the livestream, but if you pre-ordered you could take place in the beta, or you could check out the weekly posts on the website which highlighted the new zones. Today I've only been to the first area, an isle in the sky called The Plane of Magic.

Eye Candy

Sharing some lovely shots I took along my travels in LoTRO, WoW and a nifty EQ2 clip! Tomorrow the expansion hits in EQ2, can't wait to see how it is. It sounds like a great expansion for those who have been gone, easy to jump in on any 100, easy access to get rolling not depending on gear. And I am sure we can fly there too... which is a relief after walking everywhere in WoW still, lol.

Happy Thanksgiving! Tomorrow I'll be cooking and when I am done relaxing, so I thought I'd get up a post this evening. Lots of neat stuff going on this holiday weekend, sales, events and even some cool pocket gaming. Dire got an early Christmas present from me this year, a new Nintendo 2DS, he's not big on 3D so I figured this would be great for him. He loves it so far. It is a nice way to relax, and it is portable and easily taken wherever you go, which is great.

November Musings

Halloween is over in most games but Rift still has a day or so left and I have been messing around with that a little bit. There is a lot of cool stuff for decorating dimensions, I'm trying to grab up what I can. All in all it isn't much different from previous years but there are a few more goodies to grab. Next month there will be the Christmas Holiday, I do hope it releases earlier than the Halloween one did. I find plenty to do in Rift still but there isn't a huge direction and amount of content these days. There is still that pull, I love the game and what it does offer, I do wish Trion would focus mostly on Rift, I don't see that happening though.
