Adventures On Agnarr (EverQuest)

A quiet moment away from all the bustle...

Now that we've gotten past the initial launch day rush, the new EQ progression server is going pretty smoothly.  Zones are packed,  corpses lay as far as the eye can see,  like forgotten toys,  as the players rush to the next mob. Starting cities are jam packed, which is so nice to see again. This far, the server is very popular

Today EverQuest has launched the new PoP-Locked progression server, Agnarr. The server became unlocked right as the clock rolled over to the hour. Kudos to the team for rolling it out so quickly! I managed to get into the character select with my account, my son on the other computer trying to get a name for Dire. We got characters made, then the server was so overloaded we were booted and stuck in a queue. Max capacity on the server, the wait time keeps going up and I do not expect to be able to log in for quite some time. My son was baffled how many people want to play on this type of server. I've been waiting on one for years and keep up with the requests in the forums I have seen for so many years. I am still sitting in the queue typing this 53 minutes after launch. I wish the capacity was larger, it will thin out in time.It is great to see so many people eager for this server. About time we got our wish!

Good Times In May

EQ2, one game I can always come back and fly without issue!

Recently EQ2 had double xp, then triple xp after some issues and longer than expected downtime, I couldn't complain. I ended up working on some alts, I also made a character on the new-ish free trade server. It is a server that is only accessible as a subscriber. I found a nice guild there and the server as a whole seems decent, though less populated than others. It suits me just fine. I have almost all my characters, except a few floating around, on Antonia Bayle. I made a character on the new server when it went live then let it wait until I was ready to play there. It took some time to finally jump in there though.
