Sigh... DBG

All of the DBG games are getting DDOS attacked. Apparently the CEO, John Smedley, has upset some people with his tweeting. Honestly, I think personal matters should be taken elsewhere as now it is the players/customers who are suffering the brunt of it, and possibly the company. I feel for the guy, going though personal attacks and all he's been through with this ordeal. But he's clearly not acting professional.

I really hope to see the games back up soon, it's been quite awhile. The webpage is actually pulling, it not a bit slowly. I do feel for the company and all the players. However, I'm very disappointed in SOE Daybreak Games, once again. When I was a guide for SOE/ EverQuest, we were told we were the face of the company. We were to act professional to the players, respectful, because we were representing the company. What does that make the CEO?

Guess I'm off to play TOR or WoW... Instead of EQ2 tonight. Maybe Smed will ease off the tweets for awhile and we can all play tomorrow?... Heh.

If you don't know what's going on, below are some tweets and links, which led to the attacks.

Getting a minor DDOS. We're working on it. should be back up soon.

Getting reports that the attack is affecting all Daybreak Game Company games. Hope you like our present John Smedley (the CEO).

you'll get your day in court too. I hope your prison cellmate likes you a lot.

  1. what they won't tell you is he did time in jail already and got his ass kicked hard inside. - tell us that story Julius.
  2. so stay tuned because - Here's his Twitter address. He's a sociopath and will get what's coming to him.
  3. and he still has 15 other criminal cases awaiting prosecution in Finland. I may go after his parents in Civil court too. Little dirtbag
  4. It's important to note - he was convicted of crimes that had nothing to do YET with the PSN DDOS over Christmas (yes he was part of that)
  5. that was the piece of garbage that brought my plane down, leaked my information and did all kinds of other crap to me.

More info on the whole situation in the links below:

Taken from EQ2 Wire, find the whole article linked above.
