A Bitter Sweet Ending (DA2)

Yesterday I finished up Dragon Age 2. I'm a little late to the party, starting this a few months later than most people, sometimes I get like that. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, just as I did it's predecessor. I was a huge fan of Dragon Age: Origins, it was really something and I didn't know if another could top it. Now I am eagerly awaiting another DA!

I have heard complaints on reuse of the same content for various quests, I did notice this but it wasn't a huge deal for me. I really liked the pace of the story and combat, I think the pace was a step up in some ways. I have such a crush on BioWare, they just hook me in and make me love their characters and the world which the stories take place.

Speaking of characters, I really didn't know if I could like any new characters as much as I did the first bunch, in Origins. They ended up stealing my heart, making it melt, oft causing me to laugh out loud. I do wish there was a tad more interaction as there was in the first but what I did get was well worth waiting for.

I was a bit sad when the final goodbyes came around at the end. I still have quests to finish up and more DLC I can grab, which I plan on doing. I also loved the story so much that I already started another play through, you have to really enjoy a game to turn around and do it all over!

I had a tough time trying to decide on Fenris or Anders for a romance interest. I ended up going with Fenris for the long haul, next round it will be Anders time to shine. I loved the game and was glad to complete it but it was a bittersweet ending for me as I wanted it to continue. I decided to make a tribute video and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it.

Edit-- Video needing a quick edit then I'll repsot it!
Fixed!

  1. I went with Anders for my romance. So now that you know the ending, you could imagine how pissed off I was, since I stuck up for him and the mages all the way and then he had to pull that stunt ;-)

  2. Aww! Hehe, I read up a bit and sorta knew he was going to do something silly. It really didn't bother me that much, the way I saw it was that he was so intent on doing something right he had let it all consume him. That and Justice...

It was a tough choice though, they were both great chars, def Anders next time... He leaves milk for lost kittens!
