Grab Me- Err... My Attention

I'm really a big medieval, fantasy person but part of me also loves the dark and creepy post apocalyptic genre. I was in the book store today looking for something truly apocalyptic to read and it dawned on me, I should give Fallen Earth a go. I'm wondering if it will grab me and pull me in, so to speak.

So I've decided to download it and give it a try. I'm not sure it's the game for me but it is worth a shot, I do like to try almost anything when it comes to MMO games, just to experience them. I'll have to share some thoughts and see if I make it past thirty minutes! Any advice would be much appreciated.

Speaking of dark fantasy Nexon has a new game that is looking interesting, Vindictus.  If you haven't seen the video you can check it out here, it looks enticing.

I'm still playing EQ2, I've just been busy with other things and only getting a little time in here and there. I will surely be on tonight to do the Moonlight Enchantment event. I suppose EQ2 is where my heart is when it comes to MMO games lately.

Dragon Age, I'm still playing it. I am getting closer to the end, I will probably finish it up tonight and write my thoughts on it this week. I still have side quests I want to explore also. I have no enjoyed a RPG in so long, it's been so refreshing.

Blizzard has assured me that they are working on my WoW account, it's in line to get checked out but I can still play it as normal. Gee thanks, my main is stripped of gear but I can still play. How thoughtful of you to let me know this... WHY WOULD I WANT TO PLAY?

Yes, a little anger on my behalf. My money is just, excuse the language, pissing down the drain while I am waiting on them to help. This really is very poor support, they have the money to hire more help if they are backed up so badly. Assistance on an account issues takes over two weeks?! It's furthering my jaded outlook on WoW. Sure, I'm not playing as much as I was but sometimes I'd like to. After all, I paid up two months for it, going on the third week tomorrow.

Well, that's all folks. That'll do pig, or something to that extent..

  2. I love dark and creepy too. I read my first big book when I was eight years old. It was Stephen King's, The Shining.

I've played a few dark fantasy games, cannot remember them at the moment. My gaming side of my brain seems to have turned to mush lately, lol.

At times companies forget that it's the customers that drive their business, without them where would they be? Have you posted on the Blizzard forum. I recall a few people doing that when their accounts took a long time to be reinstated. I think it was the tech (or was it accounts) forum where I saw those post.

  3. I really enjoy the post apocalyptic genre too.
If you haven't seen the movie "The Book of Eli" definitely see it, you won't be disappointed. On the other hand, don't waste your time watching "The Road", I found it a very boring and hollow movie!
Last but not least...you must try out the "Fallout" series of PC games. The first two parts you can find for about $10, I never really was into RTS games but these were surprisingly entertaining.
Of course Fallout 3 has been a huge hit in the past year! Enjoy!

  4. @ Janet- yeah I really wish they would compensate lol!

@ Moondancer- Heyas :D I use to read a lot of Stephen King, he is good!

I've contacted them several times, the last time I was actually replied to directly letting me know that is it inline to be worked on. They also said there is a high wait time on this.

I think my account will expire first and I wanted to do some of the festival events but not with no gear.

@Greywulf- Hey, haven't seen you around lately! I was thinking about renting that movie but I wasn't sure if it was very good or not. I will definitely check it out.

I haven't had a chance to play Fallout but I saw my brother playing it last week and it sort of looked like Fallen Earth. I suppose that is what sparked my interest heh. I think I may try that one before long.
