Allods Online- Open Beta!

One more day until Allods Online open beta! I am kind of excited about this, it will be something else for me to play around on. I am not sure how in depth I will play as of now, it all depends on how open PvP is really. From what I have seen so far though it is a very fun game. I enjoyed my time I played in the open/closed beta. I already know what class I will play too- Summoner.

If you haven't already been to the site, there is a manual update here. Or you can always just download it again. I haven't had a chance to really see what the manual update requires. I will have to get onto that later.

So, anyone else excited about tomorrow's open beta? A nice thing is, no wipes on characters from then on out. Yay!  If you haven't seen any gameplay, I found a very cool video showing the classes in action and giving a brief description- Check it out here.  And also below are a couple of videos with a more in depth description. It is definitely a beautiful, fluent game!

  1. Yes, tomorrow can't come soon enough. I'm downloading the client again. That update just wasn't acting like it wanted to do its job, so I crashed it and uninstalled to make way for the current client. I, also, am going summoner. I'll be going Arisen though. After reading about them, I really just like the concept. Undead, mechanical Egyptians are nothing sort of pure, unadulterated awesome.

  2. I'm not sure how I feel about this game yet. I've only played about 2 hours and I think the game looks good but it didn't hook me. In all fairness i need to play longer before I make a final decision. Knowing that his game will utilize microtransactions have me concerned though.

  3. @Skhurd- I didn't have any problems with it. I patched it tonight and it says it is ready to play- yay!

Arisen are really awesome. It is a tough choice which race to pick! Maybe I'll see ya around in game :)

@Grimfire- I know how you feel, For me it is the PvP that has me wondering how long I will stick with the game. I do not like forced/open PvP.

The cash shop, probably not the biggest issue as the game is free and it so polished. Thing is, how will they work it? If it is like Runes of Magic, it could go very well being in the game. I guess we will have to see.
