Slowing Down

Hope everyone is having a great week! On a personal note- Things might slow down here for a week or so. Looking to move soon. I have a neighbor who peeks in my window (while in his underwear- yuck) and harasses me when Dire isn't home. Very stressed out and we're in the process of getting a new place, hopefully by Friday- if all goes well- So I probably won't be online (besides using my phone as a modem) as much. Plus, lots of packing and unpacking but I'll try to pop in here and dust things off. Just a heads up for those who might wonder why things have slowed down. If all works out as I hope.

So, until then if I'm a bit quiet it's just that I am very stressed out. I'm like 120lbs and pose no threat to this guy, he knows no bounds, and my son and I are alone a lot, very worried about our safety. Maybe I'll go get a baseball bat from my brother tonight. Batter up!?

In this process I might let Vanguard lapse a month until I get settled in. Still not decided on that, here's to hoping that F2P and the changes will be soon! Would be nice to still be able to pop in even if I did let it lapse, aw well. I'm still enjoying it a lot!- scratch that- Looks like I was billed today, heh.

Mostly lately I've been messing around with WoW. My son started playing again (Yay!) and Dire has been playing here and there. So it is a good balance with the family. I still have a few good friends who play and a wonderful guild who even have room for a slacker like myself.

My son and I did the Scroll of Resurrection and he is 82 now. He's working on a shaman and we can group together in randoms which is nice. Our first group was pretty meh. The healer kept letting people die while calling everyone baddies, lol, and I ended up popping into bear to tank every time the tank died. I could probably tank these lower regular Cata dungeons fine, I did fine in this one. Might make things easier for my son and I to get into queues and I enjoy tanking. I just don't know the lay of all the dungeons that well. So, we'll see.

But, that's pretty much it for today. I'll try to pop in later in the week to update how things are going and when I opt to be back online, once I move. On the upside the place we're looking at now is so lovely and peaceful. Wish me luck, say a prayer for us ;)

  1. Wow, that's really out of order. Difficult neighbors are always a pain but this guy sounds way beyond that. Maybe your brother could come and stay over, along with his bat! Anyway, good luck. I hope your move goes through smoothly and you get out of that situation very soon.

  2. Many thanks. Yes, it is out of control and I can't get the police to do much of anything either. I had footage on my phone of him harassing me but it isn't enough they tell me. Had them out twice last night and it was the last straw. Hopefully things work out for the best with the new place, it is a much nicer community. Good idea, might try to get one of them over the next few nights until we move.

  3. Ah man, did I forget to put my pants on? Seriously, that is pretty darn creepy and upsetting because I thought it was against the law to do things like that, but what do I know.

  5. It's a shame they aren't taking it seriously. I can understand why you'd feel unsettled. The police should take incidents like this a bit more seriously. It's a shame that they don't.

It rarely has anything to do with "how a woman is dressed". (Don't even get me started on that copout) You simply have people like that, that don't take no I'm not interested for an answer. The ones I've ran into over the years, seem to take that as a challenge. I've ran into my share of creeps over the years, the creepiest was a guy at my gym, who tracked my every move and would follow me. He even knew when I wasn't lifting as much weight, and would comment about it! They all had one thing in common, they'd just stare and get a weird look on their face. Yuck!

    1. Hey, Opal. Yeah, the problem is it happens all the time here I guess. Huge city, big place we live in and they just don't care I guess.

Oh, this guy watches me when I go on my patio, I can't even wear shorts out there because he comes out when I go to smoke. He has no chairs out there, doesn't smoke just stands there. Sometimes I go out there with a robe over my clothes because he creeps me out so badly.

    2. I had it more when I lived in the city too; in my twenties. You'll still have the creeps as you get older. I'm 41, and it still happens. My aunt still gets it, and she's in her 60s, lol.

I hope you get the place, it really annoys me that the authorities aren't do anything. Yes, let's wait for something to "happen" before we respond! That's backwards.

    3. Exactly!

Hopefully we hear more tomorrow, kind of been waiting around and things are not going as swift as I thought they would. Ah well, wish me luck for tomorrow!

On the other hand- I've gotten a lot of stuff done (packing/sorting) but it sure doesn't look like it around the house, lol.
