Neverwinter & Birthday Cake

Neverwinter!
I've been enjoying my stay in Neverwinter. The game is pretty laid back, questing is very simple and enjoyable and there always seems plenty to do. Currently I'm sitting at level 40. I look forward to hitting 60 in the future. The Scourge Warlock class has been fun but I think waiting until level 51 for the option of a permanent pet is a bit rough. I wish it was a bit lower, as the pet is very much a part of the class. Until you spec into it (level 51 or so) the pet lasts for a short period of time or five hits, whichever comes first.

Trion Accounts Hacked

Words to the wise.
Word to the wise. If you have any credit cards or Paypal info linked into your Glyph account with Trion, probably a safe bet to remove it. That or change your password, I opted for both. Currently accounts with payment information are being used to purchase large quantities of digital goods from the company. From what I have read over the net, (one article tells) multiple companies have had information stolen. Might be a safe bet to keep that info out for awhile, at least until the company acknowledges this situation. I haven't seen Trion make an announcement, I hope to hear something soon, so that customers can be aware.

Shadow Kings

I had a chance to check out Shadow Kings by Goodgame Studios, which is a really cute and whimsical game. It is available on android and PC, though the games don't carry over from one device to the other. I checked it out on the PC, got a feel for it to see what it was about. Sometimes it is just nice to play something rather relaxing.

Stash!

Just sharing a cool little Kickstarter in this post, the game is called Stash. I don't get to follow many of these projects but this one really looks interesting. It has housing, pets and crafting... Yeah, I'll be waiting for this one for sure! I wish the team the very best of luck with the kickstart (already over halfway with 22 days to go)! Check out the website here, the kickstarter here.

Five Years!

Somewhere this month this blog turns five! Yay blog, and stuff! This blog has become a space where I like to share my gaming thoughts, it is a constant, something I really love having in my life. I never thought I'd last this long, I say that each year! Not everyone likes to talk about games. Sure I tell anyone who asks, that is who I am, I don't care who cares. It is nice to be able to come here and just say anything about games, share thoughts, ideas and so on, to people who like games too ;) I've been honored to make some really cool friends in the process and have some interesting discussions, and I thank everyone who continues to read my dribble. Thank you! Although I am not as avid with posting as I once was, I still enjoy writing here and don't see myself backing off anytime soon. Anyhow, on with today's post! Not going to drag out a post about the last five years, it's all collected here in the posts.

Eye Candy

Love the ambiance in GW2.

Wildstar Thoughts

Wildstar continues to impress me with the speed that they are maintaining with content patches. Already we have the next drop available on the PTR! This drop includes a major amount of bug squashing. Lots of class changes, especially to the engineer. Also a great change for the warrior; attack ranges from 1.5m to 1m, which is not a nerf! It affects how close a mob is to you when you will actually hit it. Many times I'd pull one to me only to have it being too close and not getting any attacks to land, it was simply too close. Glad to hear this! Check out the full PRT notes here. Things look great as far as content and updates. So what is the problem with Wildstar? Why do the servers seem to be thinning out, many with low populations?

Postcards From Tyria (GW2)

Stopping to see all the main attractions and the little ones on the side!

I've finally pulled Dire away from D3 long enough to get him to play Guild Wars 2 with me. He lost his account information somewhere around a year ago and didn't want to hassle with the process. So now he's started over. A while back he did try to start over with a Norn guardian, which didn't seem to work out so well. I don't think that was really to his taste. This time I offered input on a different race and class. I don't know if he particularly enjoyed the Norn starting area honestly, he seemed okay with it. I figured a fresh area with a new race might be more exciting. A different class, the warrior. Which has always been a class he has enjoyed in the games he's played. One I think he'll be able to do a lot with at end game, such as duo dungeons with me. He likes to do things like that, so it might offer another avenue of play.

Play Log: Wildstar, WoW, GW2

I just love my house in Wildstar :)

So, I missed the last day for Vanguard. Real life interfered. I felt so bad! I am glad that I did log in and get a chance to take some last screens, my only regret is not getting to take pictures of all the players saying good bye. Nobody was anywhere to be seen days before. I will always have a lot of nice memories of the game. Many wishes of what could have been. It will surely be missed.

I have about a week of playtime left on Wildstar. So far I've played my stalker up to 22 and made a new warrior on the Dominion to 17. I wanted to check out the other faction's city, see how things were over there. Overall I think the questing is simply smoother and a far more enjoyable experience overall. Then again had I picked a different starting area for my Exile I might have enjoyed it more. I have to say I lean towards the Exile simply because that's where the population is.
